Era il mese di Dicembre 1991 quando il Salem Express , proveniente dal porto di Geda in Arabia Saudita, si dirigeva verso il porto di Safaga. La capacità della nave era di novecento persone, ma se ne imbarcarono altre milleduecento oltre il limite previsto. A causa di un probabile errore di manovra la nave si scontrò con un reef. Erano le due della notte, mancavano solo cinque miglia.....

The ability of the ship was of nine hundred people, but they embarked other one thounsand two hundred, over the anticipated limit. Because of a probable error of manoeuvre the ship met him with a reef. It was two  of the night, they missed only five miles ..............
