Pur trattandosi di una ex cava questo piccolo bacino di acqua dolce, oltre ad essere un'ottima palestra per i subacquei frequentatori, presenta la caratteristica di offrire esplorazioni entusiasmanti agli attenti osservatori. Anche se  l'acqua non è quasi mai limpidissima, le immersioni condotte a pochi metri dalla superficie permettono la facile identificazione di molti soggetti tipici dell'acqua dolce, con una visibilità più che soddisfacente. Per chi fosse tentato a scendere in profondità .........
